Want us to handle all the training? Have your puppy stay in the home of a professional trainer. We can help shape your puppy into a well behaved dog.
What is a Board & Train?
At Puppy Adventure Academy your puppy will spend his days enrolled at school and evenings with their appointed trainer.
2 Ways To Train!
We have two different Options When it Comes to Board and Trains:
Private Tutoring with Boarding
Need your dog to maintain some training while you are out-of-town? We have an addon option for boarding. Every day your sign up for private tutoring your pup will get a two sessions with a trainer. They will work on sit, stay, recall, and leash walking.
Private Tutoring Includes:
- working on crating quietly
- socializing with other dogs
- daily pictures and updates from your trainer (excluding weekends)
- access to our digital training tutorials
This option can be combined with Puppy Boarding so we keep your pup on a good potty schedule and they go home with a trainer at night. (This options is only available to dogs under 24 weeks old)
Custom Boarding and Trains
We create a custom program for each pup where we can work on the specific issues you need to address. In the evening your home will go home with their trainer, so they can get some extra practice and lots of love! Because they still come to the academy they get a lot of opportunities to socialize along with their training.
Custom Board and Train include:
- working on crating quietly
- socializing with other dogs
- a plan created specifically for you and your dog
- access to our digital training tutorials
- daily pictures and updates from your trainer (excluding weekends)
- drop off and pick up (we come to you!)
- a bath on your dog’s last day
- a follow up in home lesson so your trainer can show you your dog’s new behaviors
- personalized videos featuring your dog so you can keep up their new behaviors at home!
We do not take aggression or separation anxiety cases.
What are the Requirements?
Age Requirements: We start as young as 12 weeks old.
Vaccinations
- Puppies under 16 weeks of age are required to have: 2 doses of parvovirus and distemper. 1 dose of bordetella. A negative fecal exam. (We recommend getting their Leptospirosis series started as well.)
- Puppies over 16 weeks old need to be current on: parvovirus, distemper, rabies, and bordetella. (We recommend getting their Leptospirosis series done as well.) They need to have a negative fecal exam within six months of their start date.
Assessment
- All puppy owners need to fill out our New Client Questionnaire. This will help us determine if our facility will be a good fit for you and your dog.
- All clients are required to book an in-home assessment lesson for Custom Board and Trains!

Your custom Board and Train stay is tailored to you and your dogs needs. This is the right option to get rid of those pesky bad behaviors. Your price quote is based on the complexity of what you need to work on or the number of items your would like us to cover. Here are issues that we frequently work on!

Potty Training!
Struggling with potty training? Give us a call, we can help! These cases can be really complex and depend on many factors. We will work with you and your vet to figure out how we can make sure your furry friends starts to use the bathroom outside. Trainers will only take one potty training case at a time due to the huge time investment involved. We will need atleast 30 days to make progress with your pup.
Some clients are looking for a safe place to board their young puppy while on vacation. We can help make sure your pup doesn’t backslide into old habbits by keeping them on a potty schedule while they are here with our Puppy Boarding program.
